SKADAR LAKE - VIRPAZAR
Skadar Lake National Park is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful national parks and one of the trademarks of Montenegro. The Montenegrin part of the lake (40 000 ha) was proclaimed a national park in 1983. Its size of 391 km2 makes it the biggest lake of the Balkan Peninsula. Skadar Lake is widely famous for all the richness of flora and fauna, with more than 100 very rare or endangered species. Over 930 types of algae and 280 bird species make Skadar Lake one of the most popular plants and animal habitats. A boat ride (that bonds you directly to the fruitful cultural and religious heritage of Montenegro), traditional cuisine, the wild natural beauty, and pelicans are just one part of all the beautiful sights arising before you in the National park. Additionally, you will visit a small fishing settlement Virpazar that offers peace and hospitality, in spite of the fact that there are no more than 337 people living there. There, you will get the opportunity to visit Visitor Center Vranjina, with a gallery, reliefs of all national parks of Montenegro, ethnic room and many other options.
- The trip starts at 7:30 am from Herceg Novi, we travel by ferry, passing one of the most visited harbors – Tivat and having a wonderful view of the Budva Riviera.
- Before reaching the National Park, there is a 20-minute break in a restaurant just above St. Stefan.
- Upon arrival to Virpazar (planned around 10 am), we will have an organized boat ride. During the ride, you will certainly be convinced in all the breathtaking natural beauties of the Lake. The 3-hour ride will leave you enough time to have a swimming break, as well as the opportunity to meet Grmuzur fortress, Saint Nicola Monastery, Kom Monastery, Lesendro fortress and many more.
- After the boat ride, we will have lunch in a local restaurant, where you can choose between a fish or meat menu.
- After the lunch, we will visit the Visitor Center Vranjina with a gallery, reliefs of all national parks of Montenegro and many plants and animal items, characteristic for this area.
- Return to Herceg Novi is planned around 5 pm.

EXCURSION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY (IN CASE THE PASSENGERS CANCEL):
- A full refund will be made if the notice of cancellation is given until 2 pm, one day before the excursion.
- A 50 % refund will be made if the notice of cancellation is given after 2 pm, one day before the excursion.
- No refunds will be made if the notice of cancellation is given on the day of excursion.
EXCURSION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY (IN CASE THE AGENCY CANCELS):
- A full refund will be made in case the agency cancels any excursion through lack of demand or in states of emergency.
- In case of unpredictable circumstances (waits at the border, traffic jams, road closures, tourist sites closures…), the agency reserves the right to change the program of excursions.
- In case of a partially fulfilled program of excursion or in case of excursion cancellation due to a natural disaster (flood, fire, earthquake…), the agency does not assume any responsibility.
